Wayward buoy recovered from Barnstable Harbor

BARNSTABLE – An old United States Coast Guard buoy was retrieved from Barnstable Harbor last week.

This particular buoy had been bouncing around Barnstable Harbor submerged and hidden for quite some time. 

Officials said it could have done some serious damage to vessels in the area. Marine & Environmental Affairs staff was finally able to get a line on it and bring it to shore and DPW’s Highway Division assisted with the removal.
