Weekend roundup from Wareham Police

Ronald Cappola Jr.

On Friday, September 7, Ronald Cappola Jr., 24, of Wareham was arrested by Officers Eric Machado and Steven Joy at about 9:00 a.m. at the Gatehouse Apartments. Mr. Cappola was placed into custody as officers were aware of an active warrant for his arrest and developed information that he could be found at the apartment complex.

Teena Hill

Later at about 11:30 a.m., Teena Hill, 46, of Wareham was arrested by Officer Eric Machado on the railroad tracks to the rear of the Water Wizz waterpark. Off. Machado was aware of an active warrant and spotted Ms. Hill while on routine patrol. Since June, this is the third time that Ms. Hill has been arrested on warrants by Wareham Police.

At about 3:00 p.m. also on Friday, Officer George Dionne arrested Matthew O’Donnell, 32, of Bourne, at Walmart for an active warrant.

Sandra Aycock

At about 5:00 p.m., officers were dispatched to Rockland Trust on Cranberry Highway for a disturbance between a male and a female in the parking lot. Upon arrival of officers located a taxi driver pointing to a wooded area where the female had fled. Officers order her out of the woods and she emerged identifying herself as Sandra Amaker. After investigation officers determined that she was lying and her name was actually Sandra Aycock, 33, of Plymouth. In addition she owed the taxi driver $130.00 and had two outstanding warrants for her arrest. Ms. Aycock was placed in custody by Officers Nate Aronson and Eric Machado, charging her with the two warrants and evading a taxi fare. She was held at the Wareham police station pending an appearance in Wareham District court on Monday.

Michael Gratis

On Saturday, August 8, at about 11:45 p.m. Officer Nate Aronson arrested Michael J. Gratis, 35, of Cotuit for an active warrant. Off. Aronson located on Cranberry Highway near Red Brook Road. Mr. Gratis was held without bail pending an appearance in Wareham District Court.

On Sunday at about 7:45 p.m., Officer Charles Pillsbury responded to Ocean State Job Lot, for a past shoplifting. The alleged shoplifter left prior to the arrival of police, however Off. Pillsbury conducted an investigation into the incident. As a result of that follow-up, Officer Pillsbury is summoning Jimmy Archer, 26, of Stoughton to court for the offense of, shoplifting 4th offense. The total amount of the items stolen was $709.73.

Mark Gomes

On Monday at about 4:30 a.m., Acting Sergeant Kevin Reilly, Officers Calib Larue and Stephen Harrison, arrested Mark Gomes, 53, of Wareham at home on Fifth Street in Onset, after developing information he could be located there. Mr. Gomes had two active warrants for his arrest and is being held pending his appearance in Wareham District Court.

It should be noted, other persons were charged and taken into custody this weekend, however they were for incidents that cannot be publicly disclosed.
