Woman accused of assaulting officer in latest arrests in Wareham

WAREHAMFrom Wareham Police: On Tuesday January 1, at about 2:30 a.m. Wareham Police along with Wareham EMS responded to the Rosewood Motel for a report of an injured person. At the scene, Officers Nate Aronson and Robert McLain encountered a female who required a transport to the hospital following a disturbance. The female became combative and kicked Lieutenant Robert Horte a paramedic with the Wareham EMS in the face, kicked Officer Aronson in the head, and kicked Officer McLain in the groin area. Brandierose J. Woodard, 25, of East Wareham, was arrested and charged with, 3 counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, 2 counts of assault and battery on a police officer, assault and battery on ambulance personnel, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, and disturbing the peace. She was transported to the police station, after being treated at Tobey Hospital, and is expected in Wareham District Court to answer to these charges on Wednesday morning.

Xavier Hernandez

On Wednesday at about 10:00 a.m., Wareham Police received information that Xavier Hernandez, 19, of Wareham was at 394 Main Street, Apartment 2 and were aware of an outstanding warrant for him. Sergeant Paul Somers, Officers Christopher Smith and Matthew Donovan responded to the address with the intent to place him custody. After knocking at the door for several minutes, officers began to force their way into the apartment, when a female opened the door. While searching the apartment Officer Smith located Mr. Hernandez hiding behind a dresser in a back bedroom, and placed him under arrest. He was processed at the police station and transported to Wareham District Court.
