MASHPEE – A woman reportedly suffered a severe hand laceration which nearly amputated her thumb. Rescuers responded to South Cape Liquors on Commercial Street sometime after 3:30 PM. A MedFlight helicopter was requested to land at the Mashpee Police/Fire facility to fly the victim to a trauma center. Further details were not immediately available.
