WEST BARNSTABLE – A woman and dog reportedly became stranded about 200 feet offshore at Sandy Neck Beach sometime before 3 PM Sunday. A bystander reportedly assisted the woman back to shore. She was taken to Cape Cod Hospital suffering from hypothermia. Barnstable Animal Control was caring for the dog which was reunited with family. Further details were not immediately available.
