ORLEANS – An elderly woman was taken to Cape Cod Hospital after a cooking fire in Orleans. Officials responded to 42 Old Colony Way early Monday afternoon to investigate an odor of smoke. The woman was removed to ambulance and taken to Cape Cod Hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation. The fire was contained to the stove and smoke was ventilated.
