PROVINCETOWN – A woman was rescued after apparently slipping and falling on the West End Breakwater walking path to Long Point in Provincetown. It is the latest in a series of incidents Provincetown first responders have responded to. This latest incident happened far out on the jetty sometime around 2 PM. With the tide too far out for boats, EMTs responded with a backboard and collar via National Park Service 4-wheel drive vehicles out to the point.

Cape Cod National Seashore rangers took EMTs to the scene and brought the victim back to the mainland.

The victim was then driven to the south end of Herring Cove where the ambulance was waiting. She was transported to Cape Cod Hospital.
