YARMOUTH – From Yarmouth Parks and Recreation: “Monday was a busy day at Gray’s Beach/Bass Hole for our Lifeguards. There was a pretty strong under tow throughout the day and our lifeguards were on the constant look out for anyone in distress. The team of Brett, Emily and Katlin and Beach Director Matt had 15 assists, ranging from simple helping out of the water to 2 medical episodes having to call Yarmouth Rescue. These assists were not just on single swimmers but many swimmers at once sometimes. On the day with strong under tow we ask that everyone be vigilant if you cross at low tide because it comes back in very fast. Our lifeguards do their best to educate everyone who crosses over during low tide and gives them heads up of when the tide will come back. Thank you Yarmouth Fire for your assistance as always.”
