YARMOUTH – Yarmouth Police report that the results are in and the 6th Annual U.S. Marine Corporal Nicholas G. Xiarhos Memorial Blood held last Friday brought 87 presenting donors to YPD Headquarters with 66 units of blood collected in six hours.
The Yarmouth Police Department and the Xiarhos family thank each and every donor and supporter for the donation and the dedicated nurses and volunteers who worked tirelessly without any break to collect the blood.
66 units can save up to 200 lives on Cape Cod
The need for blood is constant and donations can be made any time in the Blood Donor Center right at Cape Cod Hospital. Please call Cape Cod Hospital at 508.862.5663. All blood collected stays on Cape Cod.
