Yarmouth Police collect food for pets in need for the holidays

YARMOUTH – In partnership with the Yarmouth Department of Animal Care and Protection, the Yarmouth Police Department is collecting food for pets in need for the Holidays.

Citizens are asked to drop off Dog Food (wet and dry) and Cat Food (wet and dry) in the lobby of Yarmouth Police Department Headquarters located at 340 Higgins Crowell Road in West Yarmouth anytime 24/7.

The general goals of a four-legged food drive are:
• To collect donated pet food to help stock the shelves of Cape Cod area animal care and protection facilities.
• To assist individuals and families facing economic difficulty by providing pet food to help them keep their pets
• To increase awareness about homeless animals, adoptable shelter animals, and community resources such as low-cost spay/ neuter and other veterinary services, such as microchipping

We love our pets!
