Yarmouth Police continue former Cavalier Motel arson investigation

YARMOUTH – The Yarmouth Police Department and several other Law Enforcement and Fire Service agencies continue to work together to solve the fire at the vacant Cavalier Motel in South Yarmouth which occurred last Thursday evening June 25th and has been ruled an arson.

Investigators have seized important evidence, conducted numerous interviews, reviewed surveillance tapes from a variety of locations in the nearby area, and continue to seek information and follow a variety of leads.

The crime of Arson is a considered a serious felony in Massachusetts with punishment being 20 years in state prison. This investigation is active and ongoing and a $5,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to solving this case.
