Yarmouth police investigate $20,000 granite theft

YARMOUTH – The Yarmouth Police Department reports that on Monday at 11:00 a.m. Yarmouth Police Department Patrol Officer Rick Aprea responded to Cape Granite Connection at 18 Fruean Avenue in South Yarmouth for a report of a past B&E into the business.

The owner reported approximately $20,000 worth of various granite slabs missing from his property sometime in the past few days.  Each slab is approximately 9’ x 6’ and weighs several hundred pounds.

Description of stolen items:

  • 2 Alaska white granite slabs
  • 2 River Gold granite slabs
  • 2 Super white granite slabs
  • 2 Bianco Anitico granite slabs
  • 2 Dark Absolute black slabs
  • 3 Fantasy Brown granite slabs
  • 3 Super White granite slabs
  • 2 Blue Flower granite slabs
  • 2 White Torrocino granite slabs
  • 4 Gran quartz A-frames
