YARMOUTH – Yarmouth Police are investigating an armed robbery Old Town News at 183 Old Town House Road late Thursday night.
When officers arrived at 10 p.m. a perimeter was established by responding patrol units.
The suspect was described as a white male, age 30-35, approximately 6′ tall and 200 pounds, wearing a soft style black mask.
He reportedly came into the store and approached the counter and demanded money while threatening the clerk with a large can of chemical ‘mace’ type of spray.
The clerk complied and emptied the register of the cash and the suspect then ran out the door.
Yarmouth Police K9 Patrol Officer Mike Kramer and his K9 Satu responded to the scene and initiated a track which led towards Old Town House Road and terminated.
