Yarmouth Police invited to visit with mother of murdered son this Friday evening April 6th

YARMOUTH
– On January 26, 2002, at approximately 2:30 AM, Yarmouth Police Officers and Firefighters responded to an armed and horrific Home Invasion in South Yarmouth. Police Officers and Firefighters secured the scene and transported two stabbing victims to Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis.

One of the victims—Spencer T. MacLeod age 21—was severely wounded and despite all efforts by Cape Cod Hospital Doctors and Nurses, died.

One of the Nurses who treated him was his own mother.

“People said I screamed, an unnatural sound they would never forget, but in my mind the sound was gone too.”

Robin Farnsworth, author of ‘The Greater Weight of Glory: A Memoir’ will be sharing her unique story with over 300 guests on April 6, 2018 at the Cape Codder Resort in Hyannis starting at 6 pm.

Farnsworth has chosen to forgive the men charged in the murder, a response that triggered a harvest of changed lives, including some of the men sentenced in the crime.

Robin and her family, members of the Cape Cod Hospital staff who were that that night and have never left her side, some of the people involved in the crime, and some of the Yarmouth Police Officers involved in this life changing case will be in attendance.

YARMOUTH HOME INVASION ENDS IN MURDER
TRAGEDY MAY BE CASE OF MISTAKEN IDENTITY
YARMOUTH – One man is dead, another is in Cape Cod Hospital after an apparent home invasion resulted in a double stabbing. Authorities were called early this morning to 1329 Alewife Circle where the victims were found. A total of six suspects have been arrested according to the Cape & Islands D.A.’s office. The D.A. added this was not a random attack. Police say an argument broke out at a private house party in Dennis when uninvited guests tried to crash it. Those subjects are alleged to have gone to Yarmouth to retaliate but Police say this may be a case of mistaken identity.
