Yarmouth Police make arrest for reported rape


YARMOUTH
– Yarmouth Police report that on Saturday morning they received a 911 call reporting a rape that had occurred in Yarmouth.

Yarmouth Police Patrols Officers and Detectives conducted an investigation that led to an arrest of a person for two counts of Felony Rape.

The person was held in custody at Yarmouth Police Department Headquarters on $10,000 Bail and transported to the Barnstable District Court this morning for arraignment.

Due a 2014 change in Massachusetts law, we are unable to release the name of the person that was arrested.
