Yarmouth Police record 7th opioid-related death in 2017

YARMOUTH – Yarmouth Police have recorded the 7th heroin/fentanyl death in their town this year.

Officers responded to a home last Friday morning and were unable to save a man who died sometime overnight in his vehicle from apparent opiate use.

The person’s name has not been released.

Yarmouth Police remind residents that they host weekly ‘Learn to Cope’ opioid support group meetings for families dealing with addiction and recovery every Tuesday night at 7PM.

Narcan training and supplies are available at to all no cost at the end of the meeting.
