Yarmouth Police seek aid to build K-9 kennel

YARMOUTH – The Yarmouth Police Department K-9 force of three, is one of the most effective and important tools that the department has to help combat the ever increasing rise in crime.

In order to properly care for the K-9 force, the Yarmouth Police Department, in conjunction with the Yarmouth Police Foundation, Inc., is currently developing plans to construct a kennel to house the four legged members of the Yarmouth Police Department. The kennel will help insure that the K-9’s are properly housed and protected, in all kinds of weather, when they are not in service.

All of the contributions will be used to pay for the Kennel and its’ future maintenance or other needed equipment and services that will benefit the department.

The Yarmouth Police Foundation, Inc. is a U.S., Internal Revenue Service, approved, 501(c) 3 tax-exempt organization. All contributions are tax-deductable.

Contributions can be made to the: Yarmouth Police Foundation, Inc. P. O. Box 701 Yarmouth Port, MA. 02675.

  1. Don’t town taxes fund the PD budget? Can we hold the line on salary and pension increases to free up some money for what sounds like a worthy idea. Tough for someone who works a full-time job plus part-time two nights a week, and makes a third of what the police do with no medical or pension, to want to pony up extra.

  2. Please contact the Stanton Foundation. They are very generous and fund K9’s everywhere for police departments.
