Yarmouth Police sergeants graduate from Roger Williams University “First Line Supervisors Course”


YARMOUTH
– Sgt. Brian Carchedi and Sgt. George Tsoukalas graduated the Roger Williams University “First Line Supervisor Course”. The course provided the Sergeants with contemporary, relevant concepts of leadership and management appropriate to the role responsibilities of first line supervisors in a modern criminal justice agency.

The studies included: Myers-Briggs Type Indicator; Leadership Principles; Interpersonal Communication; Discipline, Conflict Management, and Performance Appraisals; Problem Solving and Community Engagement; Situational & Crisis Applied Leadership; Legal Updates and Liability; and Fair and Impartial Policing for Supervisors. The course was presented by experienced academics and law enforcement practitioners.

Both Sergeants will be assigned to the Patrol Division and are anxious to get to work.
