Yarmouth traffic stop ends with 2 under arrest, driver had 290 prior offenses

YARMOUTH – From Yarmouth Police: On Friday at 1:00 AM, Midnight shift Patrol Officers led by Patrol Officer Christopher Eccleston stopped a motor vehicle on Willow Street.

The driver was arrested for driving with a suspended license and a passenger was arrested for having an outstanding warrant.

Both were processed at Yarmouth Police Department Headquarters.

The driver, 55-year-old Kenneth B. Nickerson of West Chatham, who has 290 prior criminal charges in Massachusetts, was released on bail by the bail commissioner.

The passenger 31-year-old Andrew J. Ludwig of Hyannis, was held overnight due to the default warrant and brought to court in custody by YPD later Friday morning.

Both are scheduled for arraignment in the Barnstable District Court Friday.”
