Yarmouth traffic stop leads to heroin, crack cocaine bust

priceWEST YARMOUTH – The Yarmouth Police Department reports that on Tuesday at 12:31 p.m. Proactive Anti-Crime (PAC) Unit Officer Sean Geary conducted a motor vehicle stop on a white 2015 rented KIA for a moving traffic violation in the area of Anthony Road and Winslow Gray Road.

Both the driver and passenger were well known to Officer Geary and Cape Cod law enforcement. The passenger is known to have an extensive criminal history—with 109 prior charges in Massachusetts—including numerous firearm and drug law violations.

During the initial encounter, both subjects were acting suspiciously as Officer Geary approached the vehicle. Yarmouth Police Drug Enforcement K9 Officer Sean Geary and his partner, Thor, arrived at the scene and within minutes Officer Gannon advised that his K9 had indicated to the odor of narcotics in the area of the passenger’s buttocks.

A check of the person at Yarmouth Police Department Headquarters uncovered a bag containing 4 smaller bags of heroin, 8 smaller bags of crack cocaine, and 1 unknown orange prescription pill.

The suspect—Wykeem Lloyd Price, 29, of Boston (pictured at right)—was held at Yarmouth Police Department Headquarters and is scheduled for arraignment Wednesday in the Barnstable District Court charged with felony possess to distribute Class A drug subsequent offense; felony possess to distribute Class B drug subsequent offense; and felony possess to distribute Class E drug subsequent offense.

Update: At his arraignment, Price was held on $100,000 cash bail.

  1. 109 violations? Why the hell am I living a respectable life. Looks like I could make a lot more money and not really have any penalty by breaking the law! What happened to 3 strikes?
