YPD arrests pair on multiple warrants

YARMOUTH – On Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at 3PM Proactive Anti-Crime Unit Officer Christopher Van Ness observed the driver of a vehicle throw a lit cigarette out of the window and conducted a traffic stop of that vehicle on Route 28 in West Yarmouth.

Two people inside the vehicle were found to have warrants for their arrest and they were subsequently placed in custody.

Joshua Alan Bitzer-Wardell, 28, of Barnstable (left) had warrants charging him with leaving the scene of a personal injury crash, operating negligently to endanger and operating with a suspended registration. A second warrant charged him with larceny of a credit card and improper use of a credit card. A third warrant was for leaving the scene of property damage, and a fourth was for larceny of a drug and ID fraud.

Jessica P. Sageir, 27, of West Dennis (right) had a warrant charging her with being a fugitive from justice o.n a court warrant for larceny out of New Hampshire.

Both were transported to Yarmouth Police Department Headquarters and will be processed in the Barnstable District Court today.
