YPD presents Coffee with the Chief; Dog walkers crime watch training

YARMOUTH – From Yarmouth Police: Coffee with Chief of Police provides an opportunity for the community to hear directly from the Chief of the Yarmouth Police Department on a monthly basis. Attendees may also hear from fellow YPD officers who have impacted our community by saving lives and keeping our streets safe.

Don’t miss the opportunity to learn from the leader of the Yarmouth Police Department about the challenges and successes of leading Cape Cod and the Islands second largest Police Department as we move forward with our plan to make Yarmouth the Safest Community in the Region to visit, work, live, and raise a family.

Come with your questions and the Chief will come with answers!

This event is held monthly at various locations throughout the town of Yarmouth and is looked forward to every month by citizens and visitors alike as they enjoy a good cup of coffee and engage your Chief of Police.

DOG WALKERS CRIME WATCH TRAINING JUNE 21 AT 5:30 at YPD

Our Dog Watch Training Sessions have been such a huge success!

There are dozens, if not hundreds of dog walkers throughout the community at all times of the day, all days of the week, in all weather conditions, walking their beloved pets. Dog Walkers Watch trains these individuals how to effectively observe and report suspicious activity.

Dog Walkers Crime Watch is a fantastic community policing program that requires no commitment beyond an individual’s regular routine and helps us all keep our neighbors and our community safer.

Anyone who walks a dog in Yarmouth that would like to participate in this innovative program is asked to come to Yarmouth Police Department Headquarters for a 1 hour training session.

Feel free to bring your dog and all of our 4-legged graduates will receive a one-of-a kind Yarmouth Dog Walkers Crime Watch blue bandanna and a coupon from our friends at Mid Cape Pet and Feed Supply in South Yarmouth.

Anyone with questions is asked to contact Patrol Officer Mary Gibney at [email protected], or Deputy Chief Steven G. Xiarhos at [email protected]
