YARMOUTH – The Yarmouth Police Department reported on Wednesday that Scott Alan MacEachern, 51, and his girlfriend Damaris A. Skala, 49,—the subjects of a March 2016 “Wanted Wednesday” post—were arrested over the weekend and are currently in custody in the Broward County Sheriff’s Office in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. The two are wanted by the Yarmouth Police Department for numerous counts of Felony Larceny,
They were charged in January 2016 as a result of a lengthy investigation conducted primarily by Yarmouth Police Department Detective David Schneeweis for their involvement with failing to provide services to a wide variety of victims all across Cape Cod while doing business as Awnings by Peterson in South Yarmouth in 2014 and 2015.
Both suspects are well known to Cape Cod Law Enforcement and were the subject of an YPD Wanted Wednesday post in March 2016.
Yarmouth and Massachusetts State Police are coordinating rendition efforts with Florida authorities and both suspects should be returned to Massachusetts for prosecution in the near future.
