Opening Day at the Barnstable County Fair

The first day of the Barnstable County Fair kicked off Monday afternoon at the Cape Cod Fairgrounds. The fair is open during the week starting at 4pm, and this weekend beginning at noon. Kids, friends, and families can choose from a vast array of entertainment, from ferris wheel rides, to seal shows, to visiting the arts vendors. There are plenty of animals on the scene too–everything from honey bees to camels to alpacas are making appearances this week. The following gallery is a peak at day one of the fair–stay tuned for tomorrow!

When she’s not exploring the Cape for, Kaitrin is likely still with a camera in hand, working on a variety of fine art photo projects.

Over the past four years, she has received twelve artist grants to pursue a variety of photographic series around New England and Europe, and has exhibited in shows at the William Benton Museum of Art, the Ely Slade House Museum, as well as several local galleries.

Outside of the photographic world, Kaitrin can be found painting colorful art cars, trying new foods, and planning to travel wherever she can get to.
