1. Visit As Many Beaches As Possible
Spending time on the beaches on Cape Cod is something truly special. Whether you just relax in the sun or take a dip in the ocean, there is nothing else quite like it. Cape Cod’s beaches offer tons of opportunities to make some fantastic memories, like having a cookout with some friends or watching a sunset with a loved one.

2. Ice Cream
There are many, many choices for ice cream on Cape Cod. Many of the towns on Cape have ice cream shops that have become favorites with locals and visitors alike. Four Seas Ice Cream in Centerville, Sundae School in Orleans and Blondies in South Yarmouth are just some of the great options Cape Cod offers.

3. Visit Provincetown
Commercial Street in Provincetown has something for everyone, with a selection of art galleries, candy shops, cafes and more. You can watch the boats go in and out of the harbor at McMillian Wharf. There are also some fantastic beaches to enjoy and some really incredible spots to watch the sun rise and set. The town has scheduled creative festivals and week-long events throughout the year, including the Portuguese Festival, Bear Week, PBG’s Carnival Week and the Provincetown International Film Festival. You are sure to walk away wanting to go back to Provincetown.

4. Whale Watch
Going whale watching is always a treat and can offer an experience you won’t soon forget. There are a number of whale watching cruises and private charters that depart from various locations on Cape Cod. For more information on whale watching and a list of some of the cruises/charters, click here!

5. Sunsets
One of the best ways to spend an evening on the Cape is watching a sunset. With all the fantastic beaches and waterfront views, this is a must for all that visit Cape Cod. Some of the locations that have stunning sunsets include: Millway Beach, Town Neck Beach and Mayflower Beach.

6. Mini Golf
Looking to get out for some fun with friends and family? Miniature Golf is the perfect activity for all ages. Miniature golf course such as Pirate’s Cove in South Yarmouth, have just what you need to make your visit to Cape Cod memorable. 7. Eat Local Food
Be sure to go to as many local restaurants as possible to get the best of the local cuisine. Fresh seafood is offered at many restaurants across Cape Cod. You can enjoy the local food overlooking the water at some locations. 8. Visit Chatham
Chatham’s quaint village center is renowned for its leisurely strolling and shopping. Featuring pedestrian-friendly crosswalks, on street parking and additional parking lots, Main Street stretches for almost 2.5 miles, with its many shops, restaurants and businesses making Chatham one of the Cape’s premier destinations. Chatham’s Main Street village center is the hub for many of Chatham’s cultural and community activities. From July to early September, Chatham’s free band concerts at the gazebo in Kate Gould Park, are arguably the best on the Cape and attract crowds in the thousands. Just a short walk from the village center, with its light visible nearly 15 miles out to sea, Chatham Lighthouse is operated by the Coast Guard and stands right in front of Chatham Light Beach.
