Meghan, You RAWK!!

This is not a hand-made sign at a concert jammed in between thousands of screaming teenagers.

This is the collective message from women and young girls across the world – including one middle-aged radio DJ from a little sand-spit sticking out into the ocean where Meghan Trainor once lived, played music in her bedroom and went to school.

Meghan has continued to wow audiences and music industry professionals around the world with her live performances as well as her ability to create and produce pop song after pop song like a machine.

Sometimes I need to remind myself that Meghan is barely old enough to walk into a bar unsupervised.

Meghan is talented and wise beyond her years. Meghan is also proving that she has more integrity than the entire music industry gave her credit for.

Meghan has been gearing up for the release of her new album “Thank You” this Friday. Part of the excitement has been a series of videos released to the digital world, including a video for the song “Me Too.”

On Monday, after living an incredibly short life on the internet (approximately 88k views), the video vanished. Why?

Meghan Trainor took to social media to explain: “Hey guys, I took down the ‘Me Too’ video because they photoshopped the crap out of me. I’m so sick of it and I’m over it so I took it down. Until they fix it.

“My waist is not that teeny, I had a bomb waist that night. I don’t know why they didn’t like my waist. I didn’t approve that video, and it went out into the world so I’m embarrassed.

“I told them to fix it A$AP Rocky, because I will be going to Times Square to play it for my fans, so I hope they fix it and I am sorry about this. The video is still one of my favorite videos I’ve ever done, I’m very proud of it.

“I’m just pissed off that they BROKE MY RIBS, ya know?”

I spoke with Meghan’s father and Gary said that despite all this, Meghan is having a great time in New York and on the television networks this week.

She’s having the best time with promo this week, he told me, Howard Stern, Jimmy Fallon Thursday night, Friday Good Morning America.

Go, Meghan!

When will our girl be back home? She will be on stage at the Blue Hills Bank Pavilion in Boston on September 24.
