Facebook: Should I Stay or Should I Go…

I was reading an article about how 42% of people have taken a break from Facebook. Of that 42%, some took a break for several weeks and some people taking a break for a year!

People are taking action against Facebook, many even deleting the app off their phone.

It got me to thinking about how much time I spend on Facebook. Now to be honest, being on the radio I do have put up a lot of posts on Facebook to promote what’s happening on our radio station. So, between being on Facebook both personally AND professionally, it means I spend a lot of time on social media. How great would it be to get all that time back!

So yes, I would love to take a break from Facebook. The thing is, how long I would actually be able to stay off Facebook before I would miss it because I actually enjoy finding out what people are up to. I love to pose questions to see how people will answer and I enjoy looking at pictures people post.

The truth is that most young people don’t even think Facebook is cool anymore. The older set moved in on their turf years ago! Now they don’t want anything to do with it!

Well, as much as I would love to get off Facebook and spend all that free time, maybe exercising or reading a book or doing yoga! I know I would miss all the “likes”, “wows”, “hearts”, and even “angry faces”!
