Find out why 99.9 the Q is hiding children’s book around Cape Cod

Last week I heard about a local Facebook that was exploding. SouthCoast Hidden Books was started by teacher named Tricia who got the idea from a UK based Hidden Book Facebook Group.

People take new or used children’s books, place them in a Ziploc bag and hide them around playgrounds. There’s a note inside explaining that you’ve just found a hidden book which is yours to keep or if you wish RE-HIDE it and pay it forward for someone else to find.

Of course I had to get in touch and chat to Tricia for Feel Good News. It’s all the things we love on Feel Good Mornings: Kindness, Sharing, and Community.

The Facebook group that Tricia started gained over 1,000 members in less than a week and has continued to grow. People aren’t just hiding books, they’re creating a community on the Facebook page. They’re sharing ideas of where to take kids, new playgrounds they never knew about and they’ve even arranged a book swap for parents to exchange unwanted books.

We loved this idea SO much that we’ve hidden book all over Cape Cod for you to find! There’s a note from 99.9 the Q. If you find one, let us know on our Facebook page and pay it forward by leaving it for someone else.
