1. IT’S NOT THE MOST POPULAR GREETING CARD HOLIDAY. 

The Greeting Card Association says, 190 million Valentine’s cards are exchanged every year, making Valentine’s Day the second most popular greeting card holiday, Christmas is number one. 

2. APPARENTLY IT’S NOT TOO HARD TO FIND TRUE LOVE, HERE’S WHY: 

Over two million marriages happen in the U.S. every year!  That comes out to more than 6,000 a day!

3. HUSBANDS AND BOYFRIENDS LIKE TO GIVE BOUQUETS (HOORAY!!)

73% of Valentine’s Day flower sales are from men.  

4. ROSES ARE THE FLOWERS OF LOVE. 

Roses stands for romance and love, so it’s no surprise that most Valentine’s Day bouquets are made up of beautiful red roses! 

5. “WEARING YOUR HEART ON YOUR SLEEVE” IS MORE THAN JUST A PHRASE. 

In the Middle Ages, guys and gals picked names to see who their Valentine would be. They would wear the name pinned to their sleeve for a week so that everyone would know their ‘supposed’ true feelings about that person.

6.  THE BOX OF CHOCOLATES HAVE BEEN AROUND FOR MORE THAN 140 YEARS. 

The very first Valentine’s Day box of chocolates was introduced by Richard Cadbury in 1868.
