So I stepped on the scale last week after eating my way through Long Island trip to see the family…
I was stunned… STUNNED! I won’t go into the exact amount, but it was north of 3 bills.
Honestly, I have been on a solid weight gain for the last 2 years. All the hard work I put in is now GONE. I have to try and get it back. I finally got to a doctor and did a sleep study, which revealed my sleep apnea levels. It resulted in a new CPAP machine. That is a machine that basically blows air in your windpipe to offset your breathing stopping. I finally have had a good nights sleep!
Now onto the real problem. Food.
For me, it comes down to eating the same things all the time for a long time until I drop enough weight that I can attempt to open up my food intake a little.
This consists of:
- Egg whites
- Rice cakes
- Chicken
- Verry Little Red Meat
- Smart One from Weight Watchers
The hard part is keeping up with it.
I’m just too old to be unhealthy, and it’s time (again) to try to get a hold of it. Too many kids, too young, and just too handsome to allow this anymore. Motivation is hard to find, but I am trudging along, I am wring this to keep myself honest and remind me what I need to do. I am kinda glad it is the holidays because it is going to force me to try and do the right thing.
On a good note, I am down 5 pounds in a week. Treadmill, here I come!
