I Need Some Golf Help!

The other day I had the privilege of golfing with some very nice and talented Ocean listeners at Blue Rock Golf Course in South Yarmouth. It truly is a wonderful course. We enjoyed a delicious lunch before we played 9 holes and then off we went.

I warned my three partners that I wasn’t that great! I played with Jack, Jane and Kendra who are avid golfers. What I can’t figure out is why I’m not that good. I took lessons a while back so I really should be better than I am. Everyone gives me advice. You know, the advice like: ”keep your head down”, “keep your arms straight”, “concentrate” and “don’t take your eye off the ball” Oy! I try and remember all that and I’m still awful!

What is the key to playing a good golf game? Do I need more lessons? Maybe I just need to get out on the course more often.

I don’t even know what club to use! One time I used my “driver” for all 9 holes! I know what you must be thinking!

My sister is an avid golfer. She is excellent. She’s been playing for years and is in a weekly golf league! She wants me to go out with her so she can teach me, but it’ll be nothing but a critique session for 4 hours and we’ll end up yelling at each other! Then we won’t speak for weeks! Haha!

If you have any golf tips for me I would love to hear them, but for now maybe I’ll just stick to the driving range until I am confident that I can at least get the ball on the green!
