A new study found it costs about $381,000 over 45 years, to have a happy marriage. That’s including date nights, presents, vacations and the wedding. It basically comes down to a little more than $7,500 per year. Here’s the breakdown for you:
1. $30,000 for a wedding and honeymoon.
2. $2,000 for a year of date nights.
3. $800 a year for nights in, including the cost of a Netflix subscription, movie downloads, drinks and food.
4. $435 a year for presents and surprise gifts.
5. $680 a year for jewelry.
6. $277 a year for lingerie.
7. $232 a year on clothes and shoes for special occasions.
8. $922 a year on weekends away.
9. $2,400 a year on vacations.
Making for a grand total of $7,746 total each year. I doubt my husband and I spend this much, we definitely spent less than $30,000 on our wedding, so we’re already ahead, yippee!
