Making A Murderer, Going On Tour?

If you’ve been following the Netflix series ‘Making A Murderer’, than you know that since the series was released, this story that was once unknown to most, has blown up all over the internet. Everyone has their opinions and theories on the show, Steven Avery, law enforcement in Manitowoc County, defense lawyers etc.

Well now, Steven Avery’s defense attorney’s are taking things a step further, with a tour. Yes, Jerry Buting and Dean Strang, the defense lawyers from his 2006 trial, are going on the ‘Making A Murderer Tour’. Their first appearance was January 27th in Minneapolis, where they appeared in front of a sold out crowd. They’ll be making stops in Milwaukee and Detroit on March 18th and 19th respectively. Tickets are fairly reasonable too, costing between $45 and $55.

Now if you’re thinking, what the heck are defense attorneys going to do ‘on tour’ in a venue that is usually reserved for music? Ahh, I was wondering the same! Well, both men have been very upfront, saying they are using the ‘Making A Murderer Tour’ as a means to get the word out about the issues with our justice system in the US. They are also donating some of the tour proceeds to the Wisconsin Innocence Fund, which was responsible for overturning Steven Avery’s original conviction back in 1985.

I gotta say, if the ‘Making A Murderer Tour’ was making a stop in Massachusetts, I’d go! Unfortunately, they aren’t…not at this point anyway.

If you still haven’t hopped on board the ‘Making A Murderer’ train, and have no idea what it’s all about, it’s a really compelling story and I highly recommend it. Go watch it, now!
