My Thoughts on “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri”

This week as I continue watching all the movies up for consideration in the Sag Awards I watched “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri” the gist of the movie is…Mildred Hayes played by Frances McDormand has lost a daughter to rape…she feels as though the Chief of Police played by Woody Harrelson is not doing enough to solve the case. That’s when she paints 3 signs leading into her town with a controversial message directed at the police chief. When his second-in-command, Officer Dixon — an immature mommy’s boy with a penchant for violence — gets involved, and things get crazy.

This movie has already won several “Golden Globe Awards” and “Critics Choice Awards.”

The movie is a search for justice and grieving mother Mildred Hayes will do anything to find the person that has committed this heinous act.

All the characters have depth and the acting is superb. In the end I was left with just thinking about all the chaos and destruction that was left behind.
