It took me 40 minutes to drive from the gym in S. Yarmouth to my house in Mashpee. It’s been taking me 20 during the off season. That means one thing.
The Cape is awakening from the winter slumber!!
I usually loathe traffic, but traffic here means we are back in business. I love seeing the landscaping trucks, the smell of the Kreme and Kone when I drive by. Fresh paint on the cottages. A moving van or two. Boats getting unwrapped. Its the yearly ritual, and I love it!!
It will give me a chance to improve my lame golf game at Pirate’s Cove, complain that the line at the polar caves is too long, but yet I wait for some cookie dough.
The thing that I love the most is my beach sticker. once that is on the windshield, summah is on!!!
All I need now is my chair and my sunblock….I’ll head to Bennny’s and grab some!!
