SPRING! It’s coming!

Can you feel it? Can you smell it? SPRING! It’s coming!

It’s not like we had a particularly hard winter. We didn’t have harsh temperatures or unbelievable amounts of snow, and I’m sure the kids and school administrators on the Cape will be thrilled to not have to make up snow days in June, but there’s just something about Spring.

To me, it means rejuvenation. My kids can feel it too. They spend more time outside playing and try to work the occasional pair of shorts, t-shirt or flip flops into the mix, (the struggle is real, #notyet). Have you noticed the sun is coming up a little earlier and sticking around later? Daylight Saving Time is only 10 days away. Not sure if I’m ready to give up my precious hour, but Spring is the only reason I can muster through the winter. Don’t hate me winter lovers.

Even General Mills is loving on Spring. My box of Honey Nut Cheerios came with a seed packet. Okay – maybe I purposely shuffled through all the boxes to FIND the one with the seed packet, but thinking about blooming spring flowers made me smile. They want me to plant them to help the bee population, but I can read between the lines, they love Spring too.

In no time we’ll be having cook outs and beach days, but until then, I’m going to just enjoy Mother Nature coming to life: greening up, blossoming and budding – which reminds me, ALLERGY season is almost here…
