Art On Two Wheels

Picture 2 of 11

Are you ready to take a roll through American history with a view over the handlebars of a motorcycle? The Cultural Center of Cape Cod in Yarmouth has a rare opportunity for you to explore some of the very first, some of the very fastest and some of the rarest Harley-Davidson motorcycles this fall. “Art On Two Wheels” is a sample from the extensive collection of Cape Cod resident David McGraw.

The exhibit is on display through November 24, 2019 and should not be missed! Even if you don’t know the difference between a Knucklehead and a Shovelhead, you will appreciate the history and artwork involved with these machines. Speaking of artwork, it’s not just a collection of motorcycles, there are also antiques, collectables, paintings and posters on display!

From some of the very first bikes dating back to the early 1900’s to a rare replica of the Panhead Harley-Davidson chopper Peter Fonda rode in the 1969 movie classic “Easy Rider”, this collection spans the decades of American history and pop-culture. Take your time so you can appreciate the meticulous detail of each of these bikes, some of which are actually “street legal” and ready to ride!

Check out the gallery at the top of this page for a few more pictures of the exhibit, or head down to the Cultural Center in Yarmouth. There is more information on their website, where you can also purchase tickets: www.Cultural-Center.org

In the meantime, ride safe everyone!
