That Girl’s Blog: Twitter, Grape Jelly and the Dalai Lama?

Twitter, grape jelly and the Dalai Lama? Talk about three things that shouldn’t go together… but somehow do.

For a long time I have been a fan of the writings and musings of Susan Blood. Some of you may know her as the author of the blog “Opera Betty” or the wife of legionary Cape Cod sound guy Chris Blood. I call Susan one of my dearest friends. I am more than a fan, I am enamored with her ability to look at the world through a grape jelly jar and see the universe in all its sarcastic spender!

From dealing with the deteriorating health of a family member to broken keepsakes and taking her children on shopping adventures, Susan has of way of putting the craziness of the world in its place by accepting the fact that for most of us, crazy is actually normal.

Susan has a book coming out this spring that I am DYING to get my hands on. Until then, I would like to share with you “Love Fest or hornet’s nest?” which she wrote for The Magazine of Yoga. This piece gave me a reason to smile and remember why I adore her sharp wit so much.

Love Fest or hornet’s nest?
