Avoid The Tide Pod Challenge

Greetings!

A disturbing trend has been showing up all over the internet.

The “TidePod Challenge”. Have you heard of it?

It’s where misguided kids are legitimately  eating the Tide Ode and getting hospitalized because of it.

I wanted to figure out what was going on from the correct perspective. I asked The Cape Cod Teenager (also known as my girlfriend Danielle’s daughter) for her take.

This from the junior from Nauset Regional High School:

Have you seen all the hype about the challenges taken over the internet?

Well if you haven’t it’s you eat a tide pod and post a video about it.  I was at school I asked four teachers and nine students if they would do it.  Believe it or not, 12 said they would not do it but one said they will.

Their reason was because they are lit and don’t care what would happened to them.

Also, they said “Push me to the edge all my friends are dead.”

The others who said they would not theirs reasons were it’s stupid and dumb. They all live a good life and want to keep it. Many people have ended up in the hospital or dead from it. Why would you do it?

I mean yes there has been challenges like Kylie Jenner lips or cinnamon challenge or 24 hours challenges.

With every challenge out there, there are some teenagers that think it is cool to do.

You ever wonder why? I’m about to tell you.

First is that they are doing it for YouTube views.

Second is to be stupid or because they are lit.

Third is they are just bored and think they will get cool off of it.

Why would people think of this?

Well the answer is because they have nothing to do and thinking it could be fun. Is it fun to be in the hospital to mess up your future or to dead. It is more for the attention.

The reason people do it even if something could happen to himself is because they feel pressured or that my friend did it let me do it.

Here is the real question would you do the challenge knowing all the facts?

A great question indeed.

Till next time.
