Today I had to make a trip to the MA RMV, something I’ve been putting off for a while and absolutely dreading. I lived most of my life in RI, so I always went to the DMV in Cranston when I had to do anything at the registry.
If you’ve ever been to the RI DMV in Cranston, you know it’s not pleasant. It’s an all-day affair, total chaos, no one is friendly, and you’re at the mercy of the people who work there. Every time I’ve ever had to set foot in the RI DMV, it’s been a nightmare. I’d have to take a whole day off from work to waste it there. It’s truly my version of hell on Earth. So for that reason, I was not looking forward to going to the RMV today.
I went to the one in Yarmouth and boy was I pleasantly surprised! First of all, it’s much smaller than the one in Cranston, so there were far less people than I was used to. Secondly, it was clean, orderly and people that worked there were pleasant! It was great! I got there as soon as it opened, and I had my new Massachusetts license in my hand 45 minutes later. I couldn’t believe it! They had a system and it worked wonderfully!
Thank you MA RMV in Yarmouth for making my morning! I’m now officially a Massachusetts resident!
