Why Water is a Big Part of My Health Plan

KarenBlakeBlogImageSince I’ve been on a health-kick I am reading and realizing more and more why drinking water is very important to my overall health.

First of all, I do believe it has helped with my 58 pound weight loss. I drink 8 ounces of water the minute I get out of bed in the morning. It can boost your metabolism by 24%. It gets everything running correctly in the morning.

Drinking water on an empty stomach purifies the colon making it easier to absorb nutrients.

It increases the production of new blood and muscle cells.

It balances your lymph system. These glands help you perform your daily functions, balances your body fluids, and right infection.

The thing that I personally love about what drinking water can do is…it makes my skin glow. Water helps to purge toxins from the blood which help keeps your skin glowing and clear.

Did you know that water makes up 83% of your blood.

Composes 22% of your bones.

Makes up 75% of your muscles.

Composes 75% of your brain.

Regulates your body temperature.

Removes waste.

Cushions your joints.

Helps carry nutrients and oxygen to your cells.

Moistens oxygen for breathing.

Helps convert food to energy.

Protects and cushions your vital organs

And helps lower your sugar levels.

I hope this helps you as much as it has me! Enjoy!
