Housing Assistance Corporation’s (HAC) Cape Cod Quahog Challenge returns for the 4th straight year on Sunday, August 5, 1-4 pm, at Trader Ed’s in Hyannis.

The annual competition  seeks to find who makes the best stuffed quahog in the region. This year’s contestants include Trader Ed’s; Cape Tip Seafood Market in Truro; Fresh Ketch in Hyannis; Portside Tavern in Hyannis; Sea Dog Brew Pub in Yarmouth; Baha Brothers’ Sandbar Grill in Taunton; and Sesuit Harbor Cafe in Dennis.

Patrons will be able to sample stuffed quahogs as well as free ice cream from Polar Cave Ice Cream in Mashpee and free samples of Narragansett Beer for those 21 and over. It’s recommended the public arrive between 1-3 pm to ensure they can try quahog entries.

Winners will be determined by a popular vote of those in attendance. There is one vote per ticket.

Four Guys Cape Cod will provide live entertainment.

Tickets are $25 per person in advance and $30 at the door. For those 10 and under, tickets are $5 per person. Tickets can be purchased online by clicking here or at HAC’s office at 460 West Main Street in Hyannis.

Funds raised will go to support HAC’s housing programs on Cape Cod and the Islands.
