BOURNE – Interested residents in Bourne can tour the Peebles Elementary School Saturday ahead of a special town meeting vote on Monday to construct a new school building.

The proposed $39.9 million new facility would replace the 53-year old building.

Voters can tour the current Peebles school from 1 to 3 p.m.

Superintedent Steven LaMarche says the building has cracks, leaks and an “overwhelming” amount of asbestos-containing materials.
