Cape Cod Beer

April is Earth Month…. and Cape Cod Beer is partnering with BCWC for a two part series to learn about why #CleanWaterMatters.

Their mission is simple: Barnstable Clean Water Coalition (BCWC) works to restore and preserve clean water in Barnstable.
With science as their foundation, BCWC utilizes four core components to accomplish their mission: educatemonitor mitigate and advocate.

Thursday April 4th:  Cape Waters: Challenges and Opportunities
Wednesday April 17th: Barnstable’s Wild Watersheds
Both events are 6-8 PM  $10 suggested donation.

Session 1: Thursday April 4th:  Cape Waters: Challenges and Opportunities
Zee Crocker, Executive Director, BCWC: Zee will talk about Barnstable’s four watersheds, Cape Cod’s sole source aquifer and how all waters – drinking, fresh, brackish and salt – are connected; how what we do at/in/on our homes and properties plays a critical role in the health of all waters; and what BCWC is doing to make a difference for clean water.

Session 2: Wednesday April 17th: Barnstable’s Wild Watersheds
Amy Croteau, Barnstable Natural Resource Officer: Come discover the diverse wildlife that lives in our local watersheds. Using the Barnstable Department of Natural Resources’ traveling animal exhibit, Amy will introduce the public to species including osprey, river otters, coyotes, great horned owls, fishers and more. Learn why water is so  important to the survival of all animals.
