Brewster Ladies' Library

As part of our 2018 One Book, One Town series, please join us for a lecture and discussion by psychotherapist Margot Stienstra on the importance of literature in a digital age. With references to Ray Bradbury’s Fahrenheit 451, Margot will address the pitfalls of turning from books to social media, including reduced attention span, increased superficiality, memory loss, and a heightened disconnect from ourselves and others.

Margot Estabrook Stienstra is a part-time resident of the Lower Cape with a private practice in Zurich, Switzerland. As a psychotherapist, she follows in the tradition of Carl Jung, who was most known for his theories on personality, dream analysis, and the collective unconscious.

This event will take place on Sunday, January 28 at 2:00 p.m. Admission is free, and all are welcome.
