As part of the 2018 Nickerson Lecture Series, please join us at the Brewster Ladies’ Library for a showing of the 2014 war film directed by George Clooney, and written by Clooney and Grant Heslov.

“Based on the true story of the greatest treasure hunt in history, this action drama focuses on an unlikely World War II platoon, tasked by FDR with going into Germany to rescue artistic masterpieces from Nazi thieves and returning them to their rightful owners. It would be an impossible mission: with the art trapped behind enemy lines, and with the German army under orders to destroy everything as the Reich fell. This platoon found themselves in a race against time to avoid the destruction of 1000 years of culture.” (DVD cover)

The runtime for this film is 118 minutes. Admission is free.

This viewing will take place on Thursday, October 11 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. All are welcome to attend.
