Brewster Ladies' Library

To kick off our 2019 One Book, One Town program series, please join us for the Brewster Ladies’ Library’s first ever story slam! A story slam is an open mic where real people (hopefully you) take the stage and tell a true story. Our story slam is non-competitive, and the theme is “Stories about being a kid on Cape Cod.”

Storytellers will register upon arrival. Names will be drawn out of a hat to decide order of presentation. Stories should be true, fit into the theme about being a kid on Cape Cod, and should be less than 8 minutes in length. No notes, props, or music allowed. If you’re a first timer, the best advice is: know the first and last sentence of your story. If you know where you’re starting and have your destination in sight, you’ll do just fine!

Refreshments will be provided. Come share a fun night of stories about our beloved Cape & Islands!

This program will take place on Friday, January 11 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Admission is free, and all are welcome.
