Sturgis Library – a historic public library in the village of Barnstable – is pleased to host an evening of great poetry & music on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at 6:00 pm, to mark the 50th anniversary of the Tet Offensive (& other more recent conflicts).

This FREE poetry & music event will feature a trio of exceptional poets: Doug Anderson, Howie Faerstein & Eric Wasileski. We will also have music by Black Whydah Trio (comprised of John Best, Jean Alitz Sagara & Ellen Watters Sullivan), who will perform the World Premiere of John Best’s composition, based on the poem/prose piece The War Prayer by Mark Twain, with narration by poet/poetry organizer Neil Silberblatt.

Admission is free. Registration is appreciated, but not required.
