Voices of Poetry, founded by poet and poetry activist Neil Silberblatt, will present an afternoon of poetry and music on Saturday, April 7, 2018 from 1 to 3 p.m. The program will honor and commemorate the 50th anniversary of the deaths of Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Sen. Robert F. Kennedy, two men who inspired a generation and left a lasting impact on American history.

Featured poets include Tina Cane, Poet Laureate of Rhode Island; Patricia Gomes, Poet Laureate of New Bedford; Fred Marchant, Director of the Creative Writing Program and the Poetry Center at Suffolk University; and Candace Wiley, writing fellow at the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown. In addition, pianist/cellist Lisa Gross will offer instrumental music.

Admission is free, and all are welcome to attend.
