Brewster Historical Society’s The Widow’s War Tour of Satucket (Brewster) Village, is based on the acclaimed historical novel by Sally Gunning.  Follow in Widow Berry’s footsteps as you enjoy a narrated bus tour that describes the widow’s 1760s Satucket, with 3 stops at scenic, historic locations, plus refreshments at historic Hopkins House Bakery, followed by a book signing with the author following the tour. The Widow’s War Tours are 9:00AM-12:00 Noon  August 9 and 23 and September 6 and 20.  Tours depart from Drummer Boy Park, 773 Main Street, Brewster, MA.

The Brewster Historical Society’s Sea Captain’s Tour, scripted by Sally Gunning, is filled with fascinating information about the many Sea Captain’s who called Brewster home.  Find out which of Brewster famous clipper ship captains made it home and what happened to the rest.  Hear about our “washashore” captain, the navigator wife, the Civil War blockade runner.  This narrated coach tour makes four stops at scenic, historic locations, and it includes a cemetery scavenger hunt for captain’s graves, and a light repast at the Captain Freeman Inn. The Sea Captain’s tour tickets are $45 per person ($40 for BHS members).
